Author Guidelines

These writing guidelines have been compiled to assist authors in preparing manuscripts for submission to the Journal of Agroindustrial Development and Innovation. Authors are expected to follow all the provisions outlined in these guidelines to ensure that the editorial and review processes proceed smoothly.

1. Introduction

The Journal of Agroindustrial Development and Innovation is a scientific journal that publishes research findings, scholarly studies, and conceptual developments related to the field of agroindustry. This journal aims to serve as a platform for the dissemination of scientific knowledge among researchers, academics, and practitioners to share the latest findings and insights in the field of agroindustry.

The editorial board invites researchers, academics, and practitioners to submit scientific manuscripts relevant to the journal’s focus and scope. Submitted manuscripts must be original works that have not been previously published and are not currently under review at another journal.

2. Writing the Title, Author Names, and Affiliations

The article title must be centered at the very top of the first page of the manuscript. The title should be brief, clear, and reflect the content of the research presented in the article. The author’s name is listed below the article title without including academic titles. The author’s affiliation, which includes the name of the institution, city, and country, is listed below the author’s name. The author’s name and affiliation should also be centered.

A single space should be left between the article title and the author’s name, and likewise between the author’s affiliation and the abstract. If the article is written by more than one author, the authors’ names should be separated by commas (,). Authors’ names must be written in full. If an author’s name consists of two or more words, the first name should not be abbreviated. If the author has only one name, that name is written as is. In the online version of the journal, a one-word author name will be written twice for metadata indexing purposes

3. Abstract and Keywords
Each article must include an abstract that briefly explains the research objectives, the methods used, the main findings, and the conclusions drawn.
Below the abstract, keywords reflecting the main topic of the article must be listed. Keywords should consist of 3 to 5 words or phrases, arranged alphabetically, and separated by semicolons (;).

4. Corresponding Author
All communication related to the editorial process, including requests for revisions and final decisions regarding the manuscript, will be sent to the corresponding author via the email address registered in the journal system.
The corresponding author is responsible for conveying this information to all other authors involved in the article

5. General Guidelines for Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Agroindustrial Development and Innovation must comply with the following general requirements:

  • Manuscripts must be original research that has not been previously published and is not currently under review by another journal or publication.
  • Manuscripts must not contain any elements of plagiarism. The editorial board reserves the right to reject manuscripts suspected of having high similarity or violating academic ethics.
  • The manuscript submission and publication process follows the fee policy established by the journal.
  • Manuscripts must be written in accordance with the available journal article template and submitted via the online journal management system using Open Journal System (OJS).
  • The article template and writing guidelines can be downloaded from the journal’s website in Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx).
  • Manuscripts that do not follow the established formatting guidelines will be returned to the author for revision before further processing.
  • Generally, the structure of a scientific article consists of the following main sections:
  • Article title
  • Author’s name (without academic titles)
  • Author’s affiliation
  • Corresponding author’s email
  • Abstract and keywords
  • Introduction
  • Research methods
  • Results and discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References
  • Main headings such as Introduction, Research Methods, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion should be written in bold and formatted in title case with left alignment.
  • The manuscript should be between 6 and 15 pages in length, including tables, figures, and the reference list.
  • The manuscript is written on A4 paper (21.0 × 29.7 cm) with the following margins:
  1. left: 1.6 cm
  2. right: 1.6 cm
  3. top: 2 cm
  4. bottom: 1.6 cm
  • The article text uses Palatino font size 11 pt, single-spaced, and is formatted in two columns, except for the title, author names, and abstract.
  • Foreign terms or words not derived from the article’s primary language are written in italics.
  • Each paragraph begins with an indentation of approximately 10 mm from the left margin without additional spacing between paragraphs.
  • Numbering uses Arabic numerals, except at the beginning of a sentence.
  • Tables and figures are placed after they are mentioned in the text.
  • Table titles are written above the table
  • Figure captions are written below the figure
  • Tables and figures are numbered sequentially using Arabic numerals.
  • Vertical lines are not recommended in tables, while horizontal lines are used as needed to clarify information.

6. Guidelines for the Manuscript Body Text

Title of the Manuscript
The title should be concise, clear, and informative, reflecting the main issue discussed in the article. The title must avoid ambiguous interpretations and should not contain uncommon abbreviations. The main idea should be presented first, followed by its clarification if necessary. The title should consist of no more than twelve words, written in 11 pt font size, bold, and centered. The abstract should contain a maximum of 250 words and be followed by three to five keywords.

Introduction
The introduction should contain a brief and systematic explanation of the research background, literature review (state of the art), research gap, and the formulation of the research problem. This section should also present the novelty and significance of the study. At the end of the introduction, the research objectives should be clearly stated.

Research Methods
This section explains the research design, materials, tools, and methods used in the study. It should provide sufficient detail so that the research procedures can be understood and, if necessary, replicated by other researchers.

Results and Discussion
This section presents the results of the study and their interpretation. The research findings should be supported by sufficient data and analysis. The discussion should clearly explain how the results answer the research questions or hypotheses presented in the introduction.

Conclusion
The conclusion summarizes the main findings of the research and their implications. It should directly address the research objectives or hypotheses and should not merely repeat the results and discussion. Recommendations for future research may also be included.

References
All references cited in the manuscript must be listed in this section. References should primarily be derived from scientific journal articles, with at least 80% from primary sources. Each manuscript should include a minimum of 30 references.

7. Citation and Reference Guidelines

All information, data, or statements taken from other sources must be properly cited in the manuscript. Authors are required to include references for every citation used in the article. To ensure consistency and accuracy in citation management, authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero.

The citation and reference format used in the Journal of Agroindustrial Development and Innovation follows the APA referencing style.

8. Literature Review Guidelines

The literature review should present relevant previous studies related to the research topic and highlight the current state of knowledge in the field. Authors are expected to critically analyze existing studies to demonstrate the research gap and the novelty of their work.

All references used in the literature review should be managed using reference management tools such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero, and should follow the APA citation format used by the journal.

9. Online Manuscript Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system available on the journal website of Journal of Agroindustrial Development and Innovation.

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must first register as an author in the journal system. After registration is completed, authors can log in and select New Submission to begin the submission process.

The manuscript submission process consists of several steps:

  1. Start
    Authors select the appropriate journal section and complete the required submission checklist.
  2. Upload Submission
    Authors upload the manuscript file in Microsoft Word format.
  3. Enter Metadata
    Authors provide detailed information about the manuscript, including the article title, abstract, keywords, and complete author information along with institutional affiliations.
  4. Upload Supplementary Files
    Authors may upload additional documents such as supporting data, statements, or other relevant files if required.
  5. Confirmation
    Authors review all submitted information and finalize the submission by selecting Finish Submission.
